Field Service Engineer – Water Treatment Systems

Location: Ireland (National Travel Required)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00

You’ll join a specialist water-treatment engineering team supporting pharmaceutical sites across Ireland.

The systems you’ll work on are mission-critical, so you’ll need solid hands‑on skills and the ability to think on your feet.

The Role

You’ll service, commission, and support advanced water purification systems used in regulated manufacturing.

Your work will take you to client sites across Ireland and sometimes Europe.

You’ll work on:

  • Mechanical Vapour Compression (MVC) stills
  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
  • Ultrafiltration units
  • Water softening and carbon filtration
  • Distribution systems: pumps, valves, heat exchangers, instrumentation
What You’ll Do
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Commission new systems, complete testing, calibration, and performance checks
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
  • Work directly with clients and represent the business professionally
  • Produce clear service reports and technical documentation
  • Provide technical training to end‑users
  • Follow cGMP, health and safety, and industry standards at all times
What You Need
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or related engineering
  • Strong hands‑on experience with pumps, motors, valves, and instrumentation
  • Solid troubleshooting ability (mechanical and electrical)
  • Understanding of RO and general water treatment technologies
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Useful Experience (Not Essential)
  • Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC exposure
  • GMP or FDA‑regulated industry experience
  • Water filtration servicing
  • Commissioning/start‑up experience
