Cleaning & Janitorial Lead on raising the standards and modelling continuous improvement across all cleaning and janitorial services.

About the Role

Conduct routine audits of cleaning quality and follow up on corrective actions.

Responsibilities
  • Space Planning
  • Support space planning activities, including desk layouts, seating plans, team moves, and ensuring efficient use of office space.
  • Maintain up-to-date space plans and occupancy data, collaborating with Workplace and HR teams on headcount forecasting.
  • Support space planning, meeting room readiness, and general office maintenance.
  • Own, maintain, update, and improve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Ensure all documentation, procedures, and policies remain compliant and audit ready.
  • Coordinate internal audits and support external audits.
  • Track environmental objectives and targets, and maintain evidence logs.
  • Support corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ticketing System Ownership (maybe JIRA)
  • Own the facilities ticketing system, ensuring all tickets are logged, triaged, and assigned.
  • Monitor ticket SLAs and ensure timely responses and resolution.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reporting on ticket volumes, SLA compliance, and recurring themes.
  • Drive improvements to the ticketing workflow.
  • Own the facilities work log, ensuring all tasks are accurately recorded and updated.
  • Follow up on open tasks and ensure closure within agreed timelines.
  • Escalate risks or delayed tasks to management.
  • Maintain documentation and evidence for completed tasks.
  • Environmental & Sustainability Data Collection
  • Collate and validate data for sustainability dashboards, including:
  • Waste (general, recycling, food waste)
  • Energy and utilities consumption
  • Work with internal teams and waste/utility providers to gather accurate information.
  • Support reporting for internal KPIs and sustainability targets.
  • General Facilities Support
  • Assist with H&S compliance, inspections, and incident follow-up.
  • Maintain asset lists, site documentation, and facilities records.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding facilities queries.
  • Provide Annual leave cover for post room and reception.
  • Event Management
  • Coordinate internal events with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage all event logistics end-to-end, including room setup, catering, AV requirements, vendor coordination, communications, and budget tracking.
  • Ensure events are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to capture learnings and process improvement.
  • Communication
  • Design, prepare, and deliver presentation decks for leadership updates, sustainability reporting, facilities plan, and audit findings.
  • Present data, insights, and recommendations clearly and professionally to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all presentations are visually engaging, accurate, and aligned with brand guidelines.
