Job Description: Events Executive
Reporting to: Events Manager
Department: Advocacy Lab
Working hours: Daytime (09:00–18:00). Work outside of these hours may be required depending on the news agenda, for which time off in lieu will be granted.

Purpose of the role

Contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality events that support Euractiv’s mission and business objectives. Work collaboratively within the Events Team and with other internal departments to ensure effective preparation, execution, and follow-up of virtual, hybrid, and in-person events.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the development of event concepts and formats that meet client and internal objectives and align with Euractiv’s editorial commercial priorities.
  • Assist in the preparation of event programmes, including research on relevant EU policy topics.
  • Mapping and engaging with potential speakers.
  • Contribute to the selection and use of tools, platforms, and solutions that enhance the delivery of events.
  • Coordinate event logistics before, during, and after events, including onsite support where necessary.
  • Ensure effective project administration, including planning, monitoring deliverables, reporting, and liaising with suppliers under the guidance of the Events Manager.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g. multimedia, sales) to ensure integrated event delivery.
  • Support the creation and dissemination of promotional content for events across digital channels.
  • Maintain and update event-related resources, including websites, mailing lists, and databases.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues, contributing to team development.
  • Provide guidance to clients on event options, formats, and processes.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.
