Overview

Location: Ballina

The Engineering Supervisor CC GE manages a team of GE Associates and provides leadership and direction to ensure efficient project execution.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervision and development of direct reports.
  • Provide leadership to engineering team executing Change Controls and Design Control projects.
  • Manage HPM process including IDP and DSP
  • Ensure all projects meet key metrics of schedule adherence, financial forecast, quality, Project Life Cycle Adherence
  • Provide leadership to a team of engineers executing local and global projects to enable team members to reach and exceed their goals and/or expectations in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship to team on Project life cycle, Protocol execution, Change Control execution and Design Controls as required.
  • Ensure the team have up to date status updates for projects and ensure that all stakeholder needs are met. Provide periodic status on projects to management, project stakeholders, and production teams.
  • Support and implement feedback from AES [Associate Engagement Survey] to create a motivated high performing team that thrive both personally and professionally in GE.
  • Encourage and support the team exhibiting BOLD behaviours of innovation, adapting change and persisting through obstacles to best serve our customers.
  • Manage resource loading of team to optimize department workload.
  • Promote the development of direct reports through training, development plans, team meetings and regular 1:1 communication
  • Manage the team on day to day basis and complete all HPM, IDP and DSP [Hollister Performance Management] [Individual Development Plan] Development Succession Planning] assessments
Qualifications
Work Experience Requirements
  • 5-8 years of working experience in a leadership position
  • Demonstrated experience in project/program management on large and complex projects ideally within a Medical Device environment.
  • Work experience in manufacturing (Medical, Pharma, Food, Automotive) preferred.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management or similar field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge
  • Proven ability to motivate and co-ordinate team members to develop a team culture.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at once.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen attention to details.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational, proofreading, editing and technical writing skills.
  • Effective decision-making skills: ability to negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across various stakeholders. Makes timely and effective decisions in the face of risk and uncertainty
  • Proven track record to manage extensive communications both up and down in the organization to keep stakeholders appropriately engaged and informed to drive success of a project
  • Proficient PC skills using Microsoft Word and Excel
