Qualifications

  • 6+ years' experience in health and safety roles within construction.
  • Previous experience in Pharmaceuticals/Semiconductor projects is ESSENTIAL.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job description

As our EHS Lead you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the workplace is safe, compliant with BMD and Client requirements and promote a positive safety culture, you will also be expected to lead a team of safety professionals, providing guidance, coaching and mentoring throughout the project.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Implement and monitor the company's EHS Management System on the project
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture on site among site management, contractors, and workers
  • Monitor EHS compliance on site and produce weekly inspections and reports
  • Develop, maintain, and foster collaborative relationships with the wider project team
  • Influence and coach the site team in the implementation of best-practice EHS standard
  • Performing incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes, and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Reviewing subcontractor Safety Documents and Site Safety Compliance.
  • Reviewing Safe Work Plans and Permits for the tasks on site.
  • Managing Health & Safety documentation on-site.
  • Attend the client/PSCS meetings
Person Specification
Education, Training & Experience
  • Recognised EHS degree or diploma (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred)
  • 6+ years' experience in health and safety roles within residential or build
  • Previous experience on construction projects within Pharmaceuticals/Semiconductor is ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong IT skills - proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with database systems
  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other
