This is a pivotal role in enabling more effective planning and prioritisation of change initiatives across the EITS function and Group Technology. The successful candidate will be inquisitive, have strong collaborative skills to work in a cross-functional environment with strong organisational and project demand analysis skills and be passionate about strategic planning, having worked in similar roles previously. Analysing and reporting on IT resource demand and supply along with advising on scheduling opportunities for new initiatives, the role holder will also be involved in the design and implementation of supporting processes, tools, and governance to manage our capacity and demand. The role will also support reporting on the performance of the IT change portfolio, both local and strategic, to relevant forums.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure that Enterprise IT Services maintains a clear and consistent view of resource allocation vs plan, across the function.
* Monitor and report on Demand pipeline, strategic and local change, through engagement with relevant teams.
* Collate and facilitate initial triage of emerging Demand to identify impacted IT teams and high-level estimation.
* Development of robust resource allocation reporting and planning processes including identification of tools to support where necessary.
* Collation, analysis and monitoring of relevant IT change data and MI for relevant forums.
* 5 + years proven experience in IT demand management, portfolio management, or a similar role, preferably in the Technology domain
* Experience of operating within a transformation/programme/project management lifecycle methodology with associated governance and processes with the ability to manage projects from start to finish, and tracking progress across different functions and departments is essential.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. To work collaboratively cross functionally within Group Technology to analyse complex problems, identify potential solutions and implement effective strategies is essential.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Proficiency in portfolio management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence etc.).
