The Company

Envetec is an exciting clean technology focussed start-up. Using our innovative, low energy, non-thermal technology we aim to help businesses meet their sustainability goals. We have ambitious growth plans and now require a Supply Chain Manager to join the team and help to scale the business for a global market while supporting the supply chain function at our site in Birdhill, Co. Tipperary. The successful candidate will be joining a team alongside renowned industry leaders in a young, fast growing clean tech company.

The Role

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the company’s overall supply chain and logistics operations, as well as ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and laws. This role involves strategic planning and execution to maximize process efficiency and productivity while minimising costs in a hands-on capacity. The key area of responsibility are:

  • Establish supply chains for chemicals & consumables in the EU, US and other markets
  • Manage international logistics and shipping for all products, dealing with all associated trade compliance responsibilities
  • Negotiate contracts for products and services
  • Source new vendors and benchmarking prices from existing vendors

This role will be part of an Operations Leadership Team and will work collaboratively across functions to deliver the shared goals of the business.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company’s business goals and objectives for volume growth across multiple territories.
  • Forecast demand and create supply plans to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs and inventory levels.
  • Management of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and associated operations planning

Supply Chain Development & Management:

  • Develop and manage the supply chain to ensure the manufacture, distribution, support and maintenance of the company’s products and consumables
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure the best value, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Management of 3 rd party contract manufacturers

Procurement & Contract Management:

  • Manage and have active involvement in the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms
  • Benchmark pricing to maintain competitive cost of goods and services
  • Ensure materials and products meet quality standards and are delivered on time.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Develop & manage the logistics and distribution network to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods and consumables across multiple territories
  • Establish consumable supply solutions to selected markets
  • Optimise transportation and warehouse operations to improve service levels and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, including import/export laws, customs regulations, and trade agreements.
  • Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor changes in trade regulations and ensure the company adapts to comply with new requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of trade compliance practices and address any issues promptly.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilise technology and data analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Identify key metrics to communicate supply chain performance and drive improvement
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain and trade compliance disruptions.
  • Monitor market trends and conditions to proactively address supply chain challenges.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the supply chain and trade compliance budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Flexibility & Teamwork:

  • Envetec is a young & growing organisation where priorities can change rapidly in respond to business and customer needs. Colleagues are required to show agility and support each other across functions as required. This can include both task and project responsibilities.

Key Requirements for the Role

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Note: Other educational backgrounds may be considered if supported by significant applicable experiences
  •  Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven track record of managing and optimising end-to-end supply chain processes.
    • Extensive knowledge of international trade compliance regulations and practices
    • Strong knowledge and experience of negotiating commercial contracts
    • Experience in managing 3 rd party contract manufacturers
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent negotiation and supplier management abilities.
    • Proficiency in supply chain software and technologies.
    • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
