Job Summary

The Deputy Site Manager will assist the Site Manager in overseeing the daily operations of Beyond the Trees Avondale. This role involves managing large visitor numbers, ensuring smooth operation of multiple catering outlets, retail, and maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.

Position Type

This is a weekends only role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Assist in the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring all areas are functioning efficiently.
  • Visitor Experience: Ensure a high-quality visitor experience by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and customer service standards.
  • Catering Management: Oversee the operations of multiple catering outlets, ensuring they meet health and safety regulations and provide excellent service.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing events and activities to enhance visitor engagement.
  • Budget Management: Help manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
  • Maintenance: Assist with the management of the planned and reactive maintenance schedule.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on site performance, visitor feedback, and operational issues to the Site Manager.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a managerial role within the tourism or hospitality industry.
  • Education: Degree in business management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field - desirable not essential.
