• Experience with IaaS Providers is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Purpose and Objectives

We are looking for highly motivated and customer‑focused team members to strengthen the Cloud Architecture & Advisory team. The candidate will act as a primary point of contact for the customer on technical topics and will work closely with internal teams during the sales cycle. They will perform as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert for the customer on the SAP Cloud ERP Private Edition topic and its offerings.

Expectations and Tasks

1. Present in detail technical, security and operational aspects of the SAP Cloud ERP Private Edition and value proposition to the customers (usually to CIO’s, IT managers, Data Center managers and SAP Technology staff).
2. Support and organize technical responses to RFP / RFI’s.
3. Conduct detailed technical workshops with customers to define the “to‑be” architecture and plan the migration roadmap together with partners, System Integrators, and or SAP Professional Services.
4. Work closely with the SAP solution architects & customers to map the planned solution architecture into the Private Cloud Edition reference architecture.
5. Blueprint customer requirements around HA/DR, Business Continuity, Security & Compliance, networks etc.
6. Work to generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
7. Own the technical discussions with the customer on the Private Cloud Edition topic and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from Cloud Architecture & Advisory organization as required.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

• Fluency in English is a MUST; any other language an asset.
• High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions.
• Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies etc.).
• Good understanding of operational aspects (Application or Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
• Good understanding of the entire platform stacks (storage, virtualization, hardware, networks etc.).
• Good understanding of capabilities of at least one Hyperscaler (AWS, MS Azure, or GCP).
• Good understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects.
• Willingness to undertake customer related travel on short notice.
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Business Administration required from an accredited university.
• High proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required.

Work Experience

• 8+ years’ experience with customer facing SAP Technology Consulting (e.g. Basis Admin, DB Admin, Migrations, Upgrades, Business Continuity, Operations etc.) in large‑scale customer environments.
• 6+ years’ experience with solution design, enterprise architecture and/or SAP implementation.
• Experience in a customer facing pre‑sales role is an advantage.
• Experience with IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure or GCP) and data centers is a big advantage.
• SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills would be very helpful but not mandatory.
