Responsibilities include:

  • Managing an internal team of 4 direct report resources (3 full-time employees and 1 full-time contractor)

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining tax minimization planning ideas within the Region.
  • Managing and supervising our external service provider in complying with all transfer pricing requirements in the Region; including gathering required information for transfer pricing documentation and monitoring transfer pricing policies.
  • Working with the controller’s group to ensure that the Company’s transfer pricing policies are reflected properly and are accurately documented for US GAAP and local statutory purposes.
  • Managing all indirect tax, direct tax and transfer pricing audits by tax authorities, with assistance from external advisers as necessary.
  • Reconciling indirect, income and withholding tax accounts as reported in the general ledger and ensuring that tax entries are posted correctly.
  • Managing tax and transfer pricing risk, including working directly with accounting and management personnel to ensure tax efficient operational processes are implemented.
  • Assisting in calculating the Regional entities’ tax provision for financial reporting purposes; including:
    • Preparing annual tax provision packages for all Regional entities
    • Estimating cash tax requirements and taxable income each quarter.

  • Supporting ad hoc tax research and planning projects.
  • Advising the operations and accounting groups on tax matters (including risk assessment and mitigation planning) connected with new sales or other operational initiatives.

Who You'll Work With

You will be joining a highly qualified, diverse and responsive team that provides global support to the company’s objectives, policies, processes and values. We have strong relationships with other organizations, such as accounting, finance, treasury, law and sales, which allows us to identity and mitigate potential tax issues before they crystallize. We have earned a reputation throughout the Company as a valued and trusted adviser. Although the team is spread across several countries, we are a close knit and communicative team. We support each other and provide the assistance needed to ensure success. As a member of the team you will have the opportunity to interact with all segments of the company, thereby expanding your knowledge base, both within tax and beyond. This position reports to the International Tax Senior Director based in the United States, but you will be a member of highly interactive and supportive global team.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

A successful candidate will have approximately 12 years of tax experience in an accounting firm or multinational company with regional tax experience, and have a professional qualification, such as CPA, Chartered Accountant or similar. The candidate does not need to have tax knowledge of all countries in the Region but must have the desire to learn.
