Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automation engineering, preferably in the Life Sciences industry.
• Demonstrated DeltaV batch automation experience is required.
• Solid understanding of GAMP, regulatory requirements, and computer system validation.

Responsibilities

• Create automation Functional and Detailed Design documents.
• Code DeltaV Control Modules, Equipment Modules, and Phase Classes.
• Review and test DeltaV code.
• Support clients' walkthroughs and reviews of code.
• Engage in commissioning and qualification activities.
• Provide production support.
• Collaborate with validation and C&Q teams on projects.

SimoTech require a DeltaV Automation Engineer to join our team, supporting one of our leading pharmaceutical clients based in Cork. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in automation engineering, preferably within the Life Sciences industry. The role involves the design, development and testing of DeltaV code, as well as working with engineers from other disciplines to support projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Creation of automation Functional and Detailed Design documents.
• Coding of DeltaV Control Modules, Equipment Modules and Phase Classes.
• Reviewing and testing DeltaV code.
• Act as point of support for walkthroughs and reviews of code with clients.
• Commissioning and qualification activities.
• Production support.
• Support other teams, such as validation and C&Q, with projects.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years demonstrated DeltaV batch automation experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.

• Ability to work well as part of a team.
