The Role

Delivery Manager

The Manager will engage with cross functional teams, acting as a strategic link with a sharp balance of planning, leadership and problem solving. The position will include maintaining and selling work in the management consulting space. Building, maintaining & developing client relationships is an essential requirement. The role is part of the User Experience (UE) business area, which has grown significantly over the last year.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects and teams, with significant stakeholder engagement and client management responsibilities
• The projects managed are typically large, ranging from hundreds of thousands to multi‑million pounds in value
• E2E management from requirements gathering, solution design, process mapping, build, test, deployment, training and business readiness
• Candidates should have strategic oversight and understand interdependencies between various projects and programs
• Oversee the successful execution of client projects and programs
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to client expectations
• Work with client‑facing teams to deliver solutions with tight timelines
• Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence
• Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies – understand project scope and manage changes
• Implement effective project management methodologies and best practices
• Effectively manage the business transition, ensuring successful integration

Experience

• Experience working with consulting projects or similar e.g. have been involved in the design, development and delivery of a system
• Candidates should have strategic oversight and understand interdependencies between various projects and programs
• Ability to manage the commercials around building a pipeline of projects to maintain a team and be able to ‘sell’ the value of the work to the client
• Candidates should be able to navigate complex environments, read situations quickly, and adjust their approach accordingly
• Technical skills such as Power BI or Jira are not strong requirements for delivery manager and senior manager levels but may be relevant at the consultant level depending on the project
• Experience in change programs, policy optimisation, system embedding, and adoption is potentially relevant
• The role requires good commercial understanding, including cost, delivery, and time trade‑offs
• Ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and flexible to adjust to plans and resources as needed to accommodate evolving client requirement
• Excellent interpersonal skills combined with navigating stakeholder relationships
