Overview

Base Location: Dublin or Belfast

Salary: €49,400 - €74,200 (ROI) or £35,200 - £52,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

Reporting to the Data Protection Manager, our Data Protection Specialist is part of the Assurance, Risk and Data Protection team, which operates throughout the island of Ireland. You’ll provide support on all data protection matters, with responsibility for overseeing many GDPR obligations.

You will
  • Work with the business owners to complete thorough and timely breach investigations.
  • Ensure all incidents are fully investigated, with root cause and outcome being recorded.
  • Provide support to each business area in complying with data subject rights requests, including subject access requests, right to erasure requests and statutory requests.
  • Help implement improvements and lessons learned.
  • Assist various business units with the completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments.
You have
  • Demonstrable experience as a Data Protection professional, ideally being a certified Data Protection Practitioner.
  • Knowledge in governance, risk and control concepts and application, with the ability to identify effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and organisation skills, capable of operating effectively and making calculated decisions in sometimes challenging situations.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead delivery through others.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with individuals at all levels within the organisation and having the confidence to challenge in a professional and proactive way when necessary.
