What is the role about?
The Data Analytics Expert will support the Global Logistics Operations Center (G-LOC) by translating complex data into actionable insights and recommendations to guide business strategies, improve operational efficiency, and optimize decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Close collaboration with the G-LOC teams to understand business challenges and find solutions through data analytics
- Create reports, dashboards, and visual representations of data analysis findings to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders and enable informed decisions
- Run analysis projects and assess processes based on data analytics
- Project management in developing and setting up IT infrastructure for Warehouse
- Support discussions and requirements gathering among stakeholders and document requirements to provide data-driven recommendations
- Assist with acceptance testing and developing project plans
- Facilitate regular calls for CIP and workshops
- Evaluate and monitor data quality and plausibility
- Develop and maintain processes and documentation
- Perform operational tasks related to the data infrastructure: performance tuning, security, backups, etc.
- Handle any other duties commensurate with your skills and as requested by your manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor in IT Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics (or other sciences) with relevant professional experience
- Alternatively strong experience in freight forwarding with IT affinity and secondary education
- Excellent knowledge of Tableau (Tableau Certification such as Desktop Specialist and Data Analyst preferred)
- Skills in SQL; machine learning knowledge is an advantage
- Experience translating data into business understanding and bridging IT and business functions
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Programming experience, familiarity with SQL and data management/analysis software
- Willingness to travel internationally
