Hodson Bay Group is seeking a Construction & Development Projects Manager for their Yew Point Eco Tourism Development. This senior role involves oversight of construction quality and managing team dynamics to ensure high standards. The Hodson Bay Group has an exciting and new opportunity for a Construction & Development Projects Manager to join our team for the current Yew Point Eco Tourism Development and future projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their Project Management career in a vibrant industry within a fast-paced and friendly working environment.
The hotel group, consisting of four 4-star properties, is currently developing an eco-tourism and experiential project on a 150-acre site at Hodson Bay. In addition, the group has multiple ongoing upgrade and refurbishment projects underway.
This is a senior appointment, and the successful applicant will report directly to group directors.
It would be critical that the candidate has the following background and experience:
Having qualified as a carpenter, becoming a site foreman, and progressing to a level where they are responsible for delivering projects.
The candidate would ideally have the following abilities:
· Be familiar with and proficient in the entire Microsoft Office suite and other programming tools.
· Be proficient at reading and interpreting architect’s and engineer’s drawings and specifications.
· Have the experience and ability to communicate, motivate, and manage both design team members and site employees.
· Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the above.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Ensuring that all works are carried out to a good quality and completed in accordance with the drawings and specifications issued by the design team.
· Participating in design team meetings.
· Construction quality management.
· Fully understanding and ensuring compliance with all relevant site health and safety legislation.
· All other aspects of exemplary project & construction management.
