Client Profile – Not For Profit, Carlow (Hybrid)

Our client are at the heart of the Carlow Community and seeking to appoint a Company Accountant in a high profile role in the organisation taking ownership of the finance function. Reporting to the CEO of the business this role forms part of the Management Team in a broad role.

Role: Company Accountant

The role will take responsibility for the finances of the business working alongside the Senior Management Team. It is a hands on and all-encompassing position covering all aspects of finance from both the day to day operational side to the commercial strategic involvement. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of financial and management accounts
  • Oversight of AP and AR
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Statutory accounts preparation and compliance
  • Payroll
  • Tax Compliance
  • Introduce process efficiencies and lead cost reduction programmes
  • Manage internal and external audit
  • Manage external relationships
  • Managing bank accounts

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Accountant with relevant experience
  • Results orientated
  • Proven track record in introducing process improvements
  • Excellent technical abilities
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands-on role
  • Excellent communication, customer care and people management skills
  • Excellent planning, organisational andleadership skills
  • Strong IT and Excel experience
