Job summary

A leading coffee and tea supplier is seeking a Coffee Quality Consultant to enable customers to deliver high-quality coffee experiences. Responsibilities include providing training, supporting product innovation, conducting customer audits, and collaborating with the sales team on product showcases. Candidates should have Specialty Coffee experience, coffee training skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. The position is full-time with a salary range of €35,000 to €39,000 per year.

Vision/Scope

As Coffee Quality Consultant, you will enable our customers and employees to deliver Java Republic coffee and tea to the highest standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Supporting Java Republic’s customer base by delivering training/ education/ knowledge in order to enable them to implement and apply JR standards in delivering coffee and tea to the highest standard;
  • Direct involvement in coffee product innovation and NPD;
  • Working in collaboration with the Sales team in showcasing Java Republic coffee and tea products on client visits/ tastings at Java Republic or customer locations;
  • Carrying out Customer Audits – supporting our customer base to ensure that they deliver Java Republic coffee and tea to the highest standards;
  • Applying skills and initiative to contribute to continuous improvement of product, systems, processes, procedures and standards;
  • Project work as required;
  • Being aware and open to industry & market trends, customer feedback (and where appropriate, seeking feedback) and competitor analysis and communicating to relevant Java Republic colleagues;
  • Ensure effective use of all resources inclusive of working with other departments in order to offer the best solutions to our customers;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Key Skills and Competencies
  • Practical experience gained in the Specialty Coffee industry (Ideally in a training role).
  • Coffee training experience.
  • Enjoy all aspects of working with food and drink – Especially an appreciation of great coffee.
  • A comfortable working knowledge within Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A good standard of written and verbal communication in English.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work/plan autonomously.
  • Structured, patient and thorough approach to trainees.
