We are seeking a Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic team, providing specialist care in the delivery of safe and accurate radiotherapy services for a HSE Organisation based in Galway. This role is pivotal in ensuring excellence in patient care and driving innovation and quality in clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of Radiation Therapists in clinical service delivery across radiotherapy planning, pre-treatment, and treatment areas.
  • Ensure the highest safety and accuracy standards in radiotherapy processes, including dose calculations and equipment management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous professional development, offering training and mentorship to team members and students.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of departmental protocols and policies.
  • Deputise for the Radiation Therapy Service Manager as required and contribute to strategic service improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold and promote compliance with relevant health, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Radiation Therapists Division of the Radiographers Register (CORU).
  • At least 6 years of post-qualification experience in Radiation Therapy.
  • A minimum of 10 postgraduate ECTS credits or equivalent in the specialty.
