Qualifications

Job Objectives

The Role of a Clinical Nurse Manager is to oversee nursing supports for our national residential centres. This will include the following on a day-to-day basis:

  • Oversee and review best practice in the Safe Management and Administration of Medication throughout the service.
  • Organise and manage clinic.
  • Provide clinical supervision to nursing team.
  • Develop and deliver clinical training as required.
  • Support in the development of Policy, Protocols, and Guidelines in line with best practice.
  • Support the monitoring health checks relevant to certain medication.
  • Liaise with other Health Care Professionals.
  • Support in the development of Health/Intimate Care/Medication Plans for new admissions.
  • Write up Memorandums of understanding with external Psychiatrist/Professionals.
  • Respond to clinical needs with any house across the service.
  • Monitor and address medication errors.
  • Administration of depots and phlebotomy as required.
Requirements

Qualification

  • Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)

Knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management.
  • An understanding of the needs of individuals.

Experience

  • 5 years\' experience in Nursing.
  • Experience of relating to people in a supportive role.
