Job Description

You will manage a portfolio of key clients while guiding junior accountants and assistants to deliver high‑quality accounting and administration services. You’ll act as the main point of contact for your clients, oversee financial reporting, VAT, payroll review, audit coordination and banking administration, all while ensuring strong Corporate Governance standards. This role blends hands‑on accounting expertise with leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across teams and jurisdictions.

What you will do
  • You will manage an allocated portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting services, financial statements, VAT preparation, basic company secretarial duties, audit support, and bank administration.
  • You will review work prepared by junior team members, providing guidance, feedback, and first-level review to ensure accuracy and professional standards.
  • You will act as a mentor, proactively developing the skills, confidence, and performance of accountants and assistants within the team.
  • You will maintain excellent service standards, ensuring all client outputs meet Corporate Governance requirements and are delivered accurately and on time.
  • You will support the Corporate Services Director by identifying process improvements, service enhancements, and opportunities to strengthen team performance.
  • You will maintain and update the team’s technical knowledge, attending seminars and staying informed on financial reporting, tax developments, and regulatory updates.
  • You will build strong working relationships across UK and international teams, promoting a collaborative, joined‑up approach to client servicing and escalating issues with solutions when necessary.
What we offer
  • Comprehensive remuneration and pension: motivating financial packages based upon market rates for your role and are proportionate to your qualifications, level of experience and skills profile.
  • Wellbeing: additional social benefits such as private health and dental cover, life assurance, discounted gym membership, eye test and corporate GP.
  • Annual leave: our employees are entitled to 25 days paid leave plus all Ireland public holidays.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity, including shared parental leave and adoption leave.
  • Flexible working: we recognise the value of working flexibly and want to ensure all employees enjoy an excellent work‑life blend. As such, we are open to conversations with employees related to setting up flexible working arrangements.
Qualifications
  • You are a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with strong experience supporting multiple clients and managing competing deadlines.
  • You have excellent bookkeeping skills and hands‑on experience preparing management accounts and full financial statements under both Irish GAAP and IFRS.
  • You bring strong VAT preparation and RTD filing experience, along with solid understanding of audit requirements and payroll review processes.
  • You have working knowledge of Companies Act disclosures and basic company secretarial processes (preferred but not essential).
  • You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office – especially Excel – and familiar with accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and can manage client expectations with confidence and professionalism.
  • You work collaboratively with cross‑jurisdictional teams and manage ad‑hoc projects with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
