ABOUT US

Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) is the national organisation representing, promoting and developing co-operative housing in Ireland. CHI is an Approved Housing Body (AHB) and a member of the Housing Alliance. CHI work with various stakeholders in the housing sector, including Local Authorities, Government, aspiring homeowners, tenants and developers and is subject to regulation by the Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority and the Charities Regulator. Since our foundation in 1973 we have provided over 5,700 homes through homeownership, shared ownership and social rented co-operatives. With our membership of democratically controlled local co-operatives, we continue to manage over 4,000 homes across Ireland as well as providing a network of childcare services in our communities.

ROLE OVERVIEW

CHI is seeking a full-time, permanent “Clerical Officer” to work 35 Hours per week, Monday - Friday, in its Dublin West Office based in Generali Building, Navan Road, Dublin 15 . This role will be part of the Asset Management & Property Services Administration Support Team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Input contractors’ invoices to the organisations Finance System and reconcile monthly statements to ensure accurate monthly reporting
  • Administration of the company’s Insurance portfolio to include the addition of new homes and general insurance queries.
  • Oversight of the Fleet Management budget and provision of ancillary services such as fuel cards and toll tags.
  • Maintain LPT (Local Property Tax) records database and provide proof of payment where required.
  • Assist the Property Services operations manager in calculating rent reviews for property leases.
  • Manage the organisations Landlord utility invoices and accounts.
  • Input information concerning properties, voids, stock condition into Castleton CRM System.
  • To promote strong teamwork and communication.
  • To generally ensure a pleasant and professional approach to tenant/members and colleagues.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • Experience working within a team in an office setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Exceptional administrative, I.T Skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in approach to tasks and willingness to take direction.
  • Resilience and ability to adapt to challenging situations.
  • Permission to work in Ireland.
  • Knowledge of accounting, CRM systems and the social housing or co-operative housing sector would be an advantage (but not essential).
