In this role you will
  • Assess both the financial and medical requirements of new claims.
  • Taking responsibility for the correct assessment of a medical protection claim to an agreed authority limit of up to €150,000.
  • Authorising and being responsible for correct payments to a value of up to €250,000.
  • Taking responsibility for the accurate payment and compliant processing of all Pension Death claims including Executive Pensions and PRSA's.
  • Decide the outcome of a customer's claim when requirements have been obtained.
  • Processing payments within authorisation limits for all 3 distribution channels.
  • Leading customer relationships and updating regularly on claims progress by telephone and in writing.
  • Ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Acquire knowledge of processing claims on all systems and databases.
  • Support Team and Manager on new initiatives as necessary and champion Transformation.
  • Support Manager with responding and leading complaints within strict SLAs.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum APA Life Qualification, completion of QFA or progress towards Underwriting Diploma (DLDU)

The primary objective of the Individual Risk Claims Team is to guide our customers through the claims process by offering a compassionate and professional personal service. Our team of experienced Claims Assessors endeavour to make the process as quick and efficient as possible.

This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in person teamwork exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
