Join us as a Chief Financial Officer

This is a key leadership role within Three Ireland providing the insights, support and challenge to ensure that the organisation delivers strong shareholder value in a rapidly evolving telecommunications landscape. The CFO will be responsible for delivering exceptional financial performance and resilience whilst shaping the business’ overall strategic plans and investment decisions. The CFO will report into the CEO and lead Three Ireland’s Finance function including Commercial finance, Financial planning & analysis, Reporting, Financial control, Tax & treasury, Procurement, Revenue & billing financial operations, Governance and Security.

What else it involves:
  • Leadership & Culture: Lead a high performing finance organisation, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Planning: Partner with the CEO and other members of Three Ireland’s Leadership Squad to shape financial plans including key investment decisions, the Three Ireland budget, shaping business cases and assessments and ensuring Three Ireland is meeting its financial objectives.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee all financial and managerial reporting for Three Ireland, ensuring compliance with all regulations and accounting standards, and shape the overall financial narrative provided to shareholders and other key stakeholder groups.
  • Risk Management: Work with partners across the business to assess, manage and mitigate cybersecurity, fraud and other financial risks.
  • Data and AI: Ensure that the organisation is leveraging AI and other digital tools to capture, analyse, monitor and act on the key data required to improve customer propositions and maximise efficiencies.
  • Procurement Oversight: Oversee the development and delivery of Three Ireland’s Procurement strategy, ensuring it’s aligned to the broader Company strategy and cost management approach.
  • Tax and Treasury: Direct the company’s tax compliance, and reporting, while managing capital and liquidity to optimise cash flow and financial risk within the complex regulatory and commercial environment of the business.
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Accountable for the development and delivery of Three Ireland’s Finance strategy, including Cost Management and Investments that align with business objectives and shareholder expectations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Drive strategic buy‑in for the Finance strategy across key stakeholder groups and act as the primary financial liaison with CK Hutchison, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities and timely delivery of group reporting requirements. Represent the Finance function in external events.

  • Proven experience leading the finance function in a dynamic complex business of similar scale.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experience shaping overall business strategy and investment decisions, working closely with executive level stakeholders.
  • Strong experience driving change and leveraging AI and other technologies to improve financial and business operations.
  • Experience in managing a Procurement function with similar levels of CapEx.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to manage overall significant budgets and oversee large‑scale negotiations.
  • Experience working within a group reporting structure or multinational, with highly distinctive stakeholder management skills.
