CATEGORY EXECUTIVE

Location: Grange Castle, Clondalkin, Dublin

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Category Executive is a new role, reporting to the Insight Manager within the dynamic Product & Innovation team. This role will also being a key contributor to the Commercial and Finance teams.

The Category Executive will be a local market expert (Ireland and the UK), in both the retail and foodservice channels. The core of the role involves managing market information databases, performing critical analyses, and developing critical reports and presentations to grow the size and the value of our categories, while capturing a disproportionate share of growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Insight Manager to implement and finesse monthly reporting on category performance.
  • Analyse multiple data sources to develop category insights which will drive business actions and growth. This includes creating, developing, and delivering regular category updates for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide business analysis including updates on sales, distribution, ROS, and any opportunities within the market - Monthly updating, monitoring, and sharing of category databases including BI reporting.
  • Use data analysis to show evaluation of market and category performance.
  • Create distribution and gap analysis reports to enable the team to identify distribution and ranging opportunities.
  • Carry out prospective work on ad-hoc projects, both cross functionally and individually to drive the utilisation of category data and growth for the category
  • Analyse internal data in SAP and other sources.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software
  • Love a challenge.
  • Complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.

  • Have a thirst for learning – always looking for ways to learn and for personal development.
