WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

The role is a member of the Kerrygold Park senior leadership team and is responsible for the management of the capital projects portfolio. This role oversees all technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects throughout their lifecycle, from planning to handover to business-as-usual operations. It involves planning, scheduling, and managing budgets and technical deliverables to ensure project scope and compliance are met.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Manage site capital project portfolio from concept to completion and sign-off.
• Assume overall control for the portfolio, including:
• Project scoping and design
• Business case development and approval management
• Budget planning and control
• Project scheduling and execution
• Tendering and vendor selection
• Contractor negotiations and management
• Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and policies
• Project communication, tracking, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
• Design and control of project documentation

KEY REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES

• 5+ years of experience in engineering projects or capital management
• Experience implementing capital projects in a live manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of budgetary processes, cost control, and cost centre management
• Leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Proven track record of project delivery
• Operational expertise in dairy processing
• Proficiency in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Operational Excellence techniques
• Ability to contribute to strategic decision-making as part of a senior team
• Systematic approach to project portfolio management
