As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our legal operations platform through the design, implementation, and execution of automated testing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and contribute to the overall success of our product.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work within a QA team with a purpose to automate tests, collaborating closely our agile development teams (Software Engineers, Product Managers, UX Designers, manual QA Engineers) to ensure product feature quality
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and other software components.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Create and implement comprehensive automation test plans based on project requirements and specifications.
• Work with QA and development teams to identify and prioritize test cases for automation.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution and communication of issues to the development team.
• Design and execute performance and load testing scenarios to identify and address potential bottlenecks and performance issues.
• Participate in Automation Sprint Refinements & Planning for sizing of testing effort, utilise retrospectives to improve teamwork

Skills & Experience

To be successful in the role, you need:

• Strong programming skills, experience with Java, Typescript or equivalent typed programming language
• Good knowledge of test framework tools such as in TestNG, JUnit or similar, and experience with SQL and databases.
• Experience with Continuous integration tools such as AWS CodeBuild / Code Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI
• Strong knowledge best practice automation methodologies to ensure timely execution of test suites, maintainable data set setup and test scripts.
• Experience with industry standard Product & Test Management systems (Jira, Confluence, etc)
• Demonstrated self-starter with ability to take direct steps to ensuring Product quality within team
• Great ability to analyse, estimate and plan work tasks within a team
• Strong problem solver and ability to troubleshoot issues in applications and automation environments.
• Demonstrated ability to write & maintain test cases with Ability to write good bug reports
• Actions show a growth mindset in QA (reporting, troubleshooting, specialised testing.)
• A minimum of 3 years as a QA Engineer, with at least 1 year in an automation role
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field experience
