Ogier Global is seeking a skilled Associate Director – Agency Services to join our expanding Debt Capital Markets team in Ireland. Reporting to the Global Head of Capital Markets, the successful candidate will bring leadership and hands‑on expertise to the administration of complex loan portfolios, client relationship management, and risk oversight. This pivotal role requires strong commercial awareness, technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively across jurisdictions and service lines.

Key Responsibilities

Team and Client Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Agency Services team, fostering a high‑performance environment that reflects Ogier’s values
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining relationships and resolving escalations promptly and professionally
  • Ensure client queries are addressed comprehensively and in a timely manner

Loan Administration

  • Oversee daily loan activities, including advances, repayments, and fee processing, ensuring strict adherence to controls and best practices
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of clients’ loan portfolios and associated documentation
  • Ensure consistent compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements

Risk & Issue Resolution

  • Identify and proactively manage risks associated with all aspects of loan portfolio administration
  • Resolve complex closing and transactional issues, using expert judgement and advanced problem‑solving skills
  • Develop and implement solutions to recurring challenges, driving operational efficiency and robust risk management

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with internal teams (Compliance, Portfolio Management, Finance) and external parties (Attorneys, Fund Administrators, Agent Banks) to deliver seamless service
  • Facilitate efficient processing and management of client‑related documentation with administrative agents

Reporting & Analysis

  • Review and interpret daily/weekly reports, identifying key trade statuses and risk exposures
  • Participate in strategic business initiatives, providing robust data analysis to support decision‑making and business growth
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Demonstrable leadership and people‑management skills, gained from leading teams in an agency services or financial services environment
  • Advanced analytical ability, including strong credit analysis, underwriting, and risk assessment skills
  • Technical proficiency with financial and loan‑specific software (including Excel and Bloomberg) and experience managing syndicated loans in line with LSTA/LMA guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to manage complex client interactions and negotiations
  • Outstanding organisational skills including time management, prioritisation, and effective delegation
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a consistent drive for excellence
  • Degree‑qualified in finance, business, economics or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Several years of experience in loan agency, structured finance, or debt capital markets, with familiarity in commercial loan agreement conventions
