As a Strategy Consultant (Senior Manager-AVP) in the Resources & Utilities industry, you will lead project teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality analyses and deliverables, structure project plans, and support business development efforts. You will also focus on people development through coaching and feedback, while leveraging your problem-solving skills, business acumen, and leadership to drive success in consulting engagements.

Responsibilities:

Consulting Skills: Oversee and support the structuring and timely delivery of project issues, analyses, and deliverables. Create compelling storylines and documents with minimal supervision, and lead project teams across various topics within our functional practices.

Project Leadership: Develop and structure project plans, ensuring alignment with established methodologies, communication standards, and best practices. Monitor team progress against the work plan, ensure the quality of deliverables, and balance competing team demands.

Business Development: Engage in client development efforts by addressing business issues, collaborating on proposal writing, and developing insights on industry challenges.

People Development: Maximize team performance through feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities. Provide regular feedback to highlight strengths and development needs, and motivate team performance.

Profile

Requirements:

• A degree in Business or Engineering is essential, with advanced qualifications such as an MA, MSc, MBA, or PhD typically preferred.
• Ideally, 8 to 10 years of business consulting experience in an international firm or equivalent experience in the Utilities industry, along with 3 to 5 years in supply chain & operations.
• Proven experience in leading and shaping engagements in areas like supply chain & operations.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong intellectual capacity for innovative thinking, understanding complex issues, and developing creative solutions is vital for success as a business strategist.
• Proficiency in problem-solving, including structuring, issue identification, data gathering, analysis, synthesis, and recommendation development.
• Excellent communication skills suitable for Board/CEO level interactions, both written and oral in English.
• Sound business judgment with an understanding of client organizations and dynamics.
• Effective client interaction skills, maturity, empathy, and ability to work well within a consulting team.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and drive.
• Strong, well-structured communication abilities, both written and oral, including in English.
