Security Manager Mining

Full-time security manager, based in our Jakarta office, with numerous on-site assignments for:

• Security and Political watch in Indonesia (Macro) and in Jakarta, Halmahera, and other Areas of Interest).
• Liaising with Site Management, VP for Mining and Group Security and Crisis management Director in Paris on operations support, monitoring Site activities and security incidents, security issues and emergency situations.
• Development of an information network in Jakarta (political decisions analysis, competitive intelligence, environmental protest groups, HR support for profiles background checks) with local specialized units.
• Development of information relays in Halmahera (Mining Sites and surrounding villages) for greater visibility of security, CSR, human rights, and community relations issues.
• Management of missionaries and ExCom visits to Indonesia.
• Preparation, follow-up and, if necessary, accompaniment of exploratory missions.
• Create, implement, execute, monitor, and review Security Budgeting, SOPs for Head Office, Mining Site, and other Areas of Interest, Emergency Response and Evacuation Protocols and collaborate with Group Security and Crisis management Director in Paris.
• Coordinating, collaborating, and communicating with the HSE department to ensure safety and security across all areas.
• Managing security operations, including workforce, equipment, and training, effectively and efficiently, in accordance with the time frame and standards established by Global Security.
• Ensuring, supervising, and controlling security operations to guarantee that security goals and objectives are achieved.
• Ensuring that all activities comply with applicable regulations and security standards.
• Coordinate with related agencies and institutions on Security and mining related services.

Specifications:

• An Indonesian profile with excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• A good verbal and written knowledge in Chinese (Mandarin) and or France will be a priority.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the Security and or Mining industries or a similar role, with exposure to managing Security Operations, Mining Security and Safety, and in Intelligence and Counterintelligence.
• Experience in Senior Management for Mining Security or similar role for at least 15 years
• Excellent in computer literacy.
• Ex. Military or Police with ranks of Mayor or Kompol is preferred.
• Highly connected to institutions, politicians and security forces in both Jakarta and Halmahera to maintain a reliable information network and to be able to analyze authorities’ decisions/intentions on the competitive nickel market.
• Willing to undertake official travel at any time and on short notice.
• Ready to be deployed anywhere and anytime as per the needs of the client or company.
• Understanding and comprehending procurement procedures and the process of creating a budget plan (RAB).
• Strong Network with external agencies around security and mining industries.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and nationalities in a collaborative, result oriented team environment.
• Proficiency in Mining Security Operations, Investigations and internal control auditing techniques.
• Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities within time limits.
• Initiative, planning, organizing skills, interpersonal skills, teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding and being knowledgeable about the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and process workflows.

Experiences:

• For civilians or non-military/non-police personnel, graduates with a bachelor’s degree from a prestigious university, with a specialized focus in mining, will be prioritized.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the Security and or Mining industries or a similar role, with exposure to managing Security Operations, Mining Security and Safety and also in Intelligence and Counterintelligence.
• Experienced as a head of the security department for a minimum of 10 years.
• Has an active Gada Utama certification, K3U and valid ID card.
