Job Summary:
The Chief Plastic Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for managing the new product introduction process. Overseeing the new products development of plastic parts and tooling. Managing and coordinating all tooling and injection molding related projects producing in the factory. Serves as a technical expert to advise the engineering, project teams and production teams to ensure maximum product quality and manufacturability.
Your role:
Provide technical support to the project team, including DFM for part, tool design and material recommendations.
Drives activities related to sustaining and improving process yield, product design changes, cycle time improvement, cost, and safety.
Responsible for the collection and analysis of factory data, validating and determining priorities and action plans based on the results for production.
Lead for tooling troubleshooting, process optimization & defect resolution for both dimensional and cosmetic improvement.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
To ensure that the molds produced are designed for longevity and reliability, with the highest standards for ease of service and maintenance of molds.
Actively works to reduce production loss due to tooling and molding quality issues accomplished through proactive maintenance management techniques.
Develop and maintain positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, and teamwork.
You're the right fit if:
Possess a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Plastic Tooling & Molding Technology or equivalent.
Min. 7 to 10 years hand on experience in plastic injections molding industry for thermoplastic, LSR, two-shots molding and ISBM.
Knowledge of ISO9001 quality management systems, ISO 13485 preferred.
Quality mindset and familiar with risk assessment tools like FMEA.
Must possess good communication, technical analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of UG-NX10 or SolidWorks, PLC and automation equipment.
