Job description

The Application Designer is responsibleto understand the business objectives and requirements (including the userstories and required user experience (UI/UX/IX)) and design critical componentsof an application to deliver the requested functionality and help achieve theclient business objectives. The Application Designer is dedicated to qualityand use their functional, technical and problem-solving skills to deliveringvalue to the client by creating custom and/or software application designs andcode.

Basic Qualifications:

· Minimum of 7-years’ experience inApplication Design with the ability to translate business requirements/userstories/visual designs into mobile/web technical designs and API/Microservices technicaldesigns

· Minimum of 7-years’ experiencedeveloping front-end and/or back-end applications for mobile applicationsand/or websites (Java,HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, ReactJS, ReactNative, Native iOS or Android –e.g. Xcode, Kotlin)

· Experience in managing small teamswould be an added advantage

· Ability to write functionalspecifications and technical documentation as well as integrate and customizethird party web/digital applications

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalentexperience required

· Must have good analytical, problemsolving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Provide analysis and solutiondesign

• Meet with Product Owners andBusiness Analysts to create, document and approve designs

• Attend and facilitate workgroupmeetings with Project and Product Owners

• Document designs and otherartefacts to meet the needs of the client for system changes

• Demonstrate a solid ability tocommunicate verbally and in writing

• Ability to gather, review andinput from appropriate Build, Training & Test teams
