The City University of Hong Kong is seeking two Visiting Professors/Visiting Associate Professors in the Department of Media and Communication for terms of 4-12 months starting September 2023. The roles involve teaching at various levels, conducting research, and contributing to course development. Applicants should have a PhD and proven scholarly achievements, particularly in mass communication and digital media. Teach courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, specifically in the areas of Mass Communication, Digital and Social Media, and Marketing and Strategic Communication, and undertake scholarly activities (including course development/revamping).
A PhD degree or equivalent qualification, with relevant experience in teaching. Candidates for Visiting Professor should command a superb record of scholarly achievements and exert leadership in the field of media and communication. Candidates for Visiting Associate Professor should have an outstanding record of scholarly achievements in both teaching and research, a strong record in research grant and/or academic management expertise. Faculty members in peer institutions on sabbatical leave are encouraged to apply.
Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Terms of appointment will be based on the current visiting remuneration package.
