Job summary

A leading bank in Hong Kong is seeking an Operational Risk Manager to support risk assessment implementation and maintain risk indicators. The successful candidate will need a degree and minimum 5 years of operational risk management experience in banking, alongside strong analytical and communication skills. Fluency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required. Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior role.

• Solid understanding of operational risk and internal control for the banking industry.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of operational risk assessment, maintain and monitor the risk indicators of the Bank.
• Collect, consolidate, identify and analyze operational risk specific to different business areas and monitor action plans.
• Liaise with business units to implement risk tools to identify, assess, mitigate, control and report key operational risk at bank and departmental level.
• Design and prepare operational risk management training and/or activities for all staff to ensure awareness.
• Coordinate and participate in ad hoc projects in relations to operational risk management and coordination with Head Office.

Requirements:

• Degree holder of relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of banking experience and operational risk management.
• Solid understanding of operational risk and internal control requirements for the banking and finance industry.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for Assistant Manager or Manager position.
