Position: Assistant / Deputy Manager, Non Far-East Ports & Transportation Agreement Management
Job Location: Hong Kong Office
Accountabilities:
- Compile and generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management review.
- Forecast volumes, costs, and spending trends.
- Document cost items, identify and rectify cost issues where necessary.
- Forecast and plan business requirements prior to vendor contract negotiations. Prepare, plan, and participate in discussions.
- Review and administer contracts regularly to ensure fulfillment of financial and operational requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships to understand the competitive landscape, including key issues of vendors and stakeholders.
- Drive stakeholders to maximize group benefits through optimal use of procured contracts.
Requirements:
- University graduate in Shipping / Logistics Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial and cost analysis, planning, operation management, and procurement. Candidates with less experience may be considered for Assistant Manager.
- Basic understanding of terminal operations; experience with network planning in container shipping or terminal operations is preferred.
- Near-native fluency in Putonghua; proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English.
- Strong quantitative aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and numerically sensitive.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, outgoing, quick learner, and a good team player.
- Proficient in PC skills and MS Office; strong Excel and presentation skills are essential.
