Job summary

A leading bank in Hong Kong is seeking a System Developer to participate in the design and enhancement of banking applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering user requirements, liaising with various departments, and ensuring compliance with banking policies. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science and have skills in Oracle and MySQL. Experience in the banking sector is a plus, with remuneration based on qualifications and experience.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Participate in system design, development, enhancement/maintenance for the new and existing banking applications.
• Assist in collecting user requirements and transform into functional requirements and technical specifications.
• Liaise with different parties for system implementation, bug fixing, create test case, prepare system specifications, deployment and related system documents.
• Organize training, UAT and other activities with users and internal departments.
• Ensure the whole development cycle complies with the bank’s policies.

Requirements:

• Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related disciplines.
• Experience in banking industry will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Oracle / MySQL database, Windows or Unix / Linux servers, PL/SQL, stored procedure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal & analytical skills.
• Fast paced, organized, independent and detail-minded.
• Good command of both English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Willing to travel (e.g. China).
