Hours : 8.00 - 17.00 with one hour lunch - must have ability to be on call out of hours

About the position
  • We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Trainee Facilities Assistant to join our team at Zeeco Europe Ltd. In this role, you will work closely with the Facilities Manager to support the smooth operation of our site by handling grounds maintenance, minor repairs, routine upkeep, and assisting with pre-planned maintenance programs. Your primary focus will be maintaining the company's equipment, resources, and overall infrastructure to ensure a safe and well-maintained working environment for all employees
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high standards of planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Performing routine maintenance duties, repairs, and checks across the entire spectrum of services within our manufacturing facility.
  • Conducting weekly fire alarm and emergency evacuation tests.
  • Supporting building and grounds maintenance.
  • Adhering to all regulations and safety procedures.
  • Assisting with site security and maintaining utilities and communications infrastructure.
  • Carrying out daily schedules as directed by the Facilities Manager.
  • Responding to queries and urgent issues as they arise.
Additional Duties:
  • Ensuring all equipment is inspected according to the maintenance plan.
  • Documenting daily, weekly, and monthly checks to support the inspection and maintenance schedule for both the workshop and Zeeco premises.
  • Actively contributing to the improvement and maintenance of Zeeco's Integrated Management System, in line with ISO standards (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018).
  • Promoting and adhering to the company's Health and Safety Policy to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Attending mandatory training sessions as required by the role.

  • Basic knowledge of general construction trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrics.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Resourceful, well-organized, and highly dependable.
  • A problem-solver with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Basic understanding of building management and services.
  • Ability to use initiative and manage tasks independently.
  • Must reside within a 1-hour commute of our office (LE15 7QT), hold a full driving licence, and be capable of driving to the sit
