Job summary

Job Details
  • Location: Hillingdon
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Job type: Permanent
  • Pay: £30,000-£35,000 per annum (including sleep in shifts)
  • Shift pattern: 3 days on, 4 days off across the week, including weekends
Responsibilities
  • Provide person‑centered support to two young men with autism and learning difficulties in their home
  • Assist with a range of activities: cycling, horse riding, sailing, swimming, visits to Merlin attractions, volunteering at the National Trust, walks in the countryside, and household chores
  • Support leisure and social activities within the community (hiking, cycling, sailing, swimming, volunteering, gym, horse riding, visiting attractions, bowling, cinema, etc.)
  • Promote health and wellbeing, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
  • Maintain accurate record keeping: MAR charts, ABC charts, daily logs, time sheets, and staff communication records
  • Help develop independent living skills through light domestic duties, personal care, cooking, shopping, and gardening
Essential Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Satisfactory DBS clearance
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Good general fitness to support outdoor activity participation
  • Flexibility, patience, strong sense of humour and professional attitude
  • Capability to interpret the needs of non‑verbal individuals
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience in care with people with learning difficulties or autism
  • Experience with autism and/or diabetes
  • Clean UK driving licence
  • Basic computer and IT skills
