Solicitor/Associate - Real Estate Portfolio Management

Description

Our Real Estate group covers every aspect of commercial real estate work including development, investment, asset management, funding, construction, landlord and tenant, planning and environmental and dispute resolution. Clients include property management and development companies, health trusts and government bodies (local and central), owner occupiers and institutions, both in the UK and overseas.

This particular role is to join our portfolio management team which focuses on retail asset management, acting primarily for landlords of major shopping centres and mixed use schemes on their lettings and wider asset management requirements. While this role will focus mainly on this workstream, it does also offer some flexibility to work in other areas of our real estate practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Running own caseload of landlord and tenant/asset management matters for variety of clients, predominantly on the landlord side.
  • Supporting on sales and purchase matters.
  • Providing support to other areas of the real estate group when need arises.
  • Working with trainees and paralegals, including assisting with supervision and guidance.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Qualified Solicitor (0-5PQE).
  • Interest in retail asset management.
  • Experience working on landlord and tenant/asset management work desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to work well under pressure, to tight deadlines and run own caseload.
  • Ability to analyse and apply legal principles and facts to derive technically sound, commercial strategies.
  • Sound judgment in decision making and being focused on client and case needs.
  • Focus on delivery of outstanding client service.
