Job description

Senior Learning and Engagement Manager (Members of the Senedd)

As the Senior Learning and Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of training and development opportunities to Members of the Senedd and their staff. You will also take the lead on projects and initiatives to enable and enhance Member engagement across the Senedd Commission. Leading a team of staff to deliver these responsibilities is also part of the role. This role reports to the Head of Member Liaison.

You will work closely with Members and their staff, providing valuable advice on learning and development issues as well as general management queries related to their staff. You will also be a key contact point for gathering feedback as we shape future service provision.

The role will contribute to wider corporate objectives including improving the Commission’s engagement with Members and enhancing service effectiveness to meet their needs.

We are looking for someone who has a strong focus on excellence in customer service and the provision of flexible, appropriate solutions to assist Members in the delivery of their responsibilities. The post holder requires the capacity to work as a member of a team, the ability to produce clear and accurate information, and to offer sound, unbiased advice both in writing and orally. You will need to demonstrate sound judgment, win the trust and confidence of Members, and manage relationships with all those involved in the work, both internal and external to the Senedd. You must, at all times, be politically impartial.
