Albany Beck are hiring an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager to support a major cyber security programme with a leading investment bank. This is a high-impact role, overseeing complex initiatives that strengthen the bank’s cyber defences and ensure compliance with evolving regulations. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, regulators, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects that safeguard systems, data, and clients.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for driving delivery of strategic cyber projects across areas such as:

  • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
  • Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
  • Identity Authentication & Authorization (IAA)
  • Data Protection (DP)
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
  • Guide international teams of technical specialists, business users, and consultants through complex project lifecycles.
  • Define clear objectives and outcomes with stakeholders, ensuring benefits are realised.
  • Build detailed delivery plans, allocate resources, and manage timelines.
  • Anticipate risks and dependencies, putting mitigation strategies in place early.
  • Resolve escalations and keep delivery on track against agreed goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with project governance standards.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Draft project charters and communication strategies to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Act as a bridge between technology and business units, securing buy-in across the organisation.
  • Tackle ambiguous challenges through structured problem-solving and collaboration.
  • Document and control project scope to avoid misalignment.
  • Manage adjustments to scope, resources, and budgets through established change processes.
  • Ensure projects adhere to technology governance and change management requirements.
  • Oversee budgets covering both operational and capital spend.
  • Deliver accurate forecasts, track spend, and manage variances proactively.
  • Contribute to annual planning and financial reporting cycles.
  • Work with leadership to secure the right skills and resources for delivery.
  • Direct project teams effectively, optimising performance and collaboration.
  • Encourage a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
  • Extensive experience in Financial Services, with at least 5 years leading major technology or cyber projects.
  • Strong track record in cybersecurity delivery, particularly across IAM, PAM, IGA, IAA, or Data Protection.
  • Experience overseeing large budgets and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery approaches.
  • Planning tools e.g. MS Project, Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Financial tools (Clarity PPM or equivalent)
  • Reporting and analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau)
