About The Company

Role Overview

Our client is looking for Qualified accountants with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience that are technically very good and able to work unsupervised and able to get accounts to partner review level

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support tax planning, VAT returns, and liaise with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
• Supervise junior team members, providing mentorship and technical guidance
• Contribute to process improvements and implementation of new financial systems
  
  

Key Requirements

• Must have at least 5 years of experience working in an accountancy practice post qualification (ACCA or other similar qualification)
• The candidate must have previously held a Senior Accountant role.
• Candidates with British citizenship or Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) will only be considered for the role
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting skills and familiarity with UK financial regulations
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) and Excel
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
