Wotton House International School is seeking a passionate and innovative Science, Mathematics, and/or STEM Teacher to inspire and engage students aged 11-16. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and deliver exciting, hands-on learning experiences in their chosen subject areas, which may include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or STEM-related disciplines such as robotics, coding, and engineering. Applicants are not required to teach all subjects. In addition to shaping a forward-thinking curriculum, the successful applicant may be expected to contribute to the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and/or IGCSE STEM courses.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver active, engaging lessons in Science, Mathematics, or STEM to students aged 11-16.
Teach in a variety of stimulating environments, including the school farm and outdoor learning spaces.
Foster a love for scientific inquiry, mathematical thinking, and problem-solving in young learners.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate STEM and mathematical principles across the wider curriculum.
Encourage student participation in science and maths projects, clubs, and external competitions.
Dispositions:
Holding or willing to work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A proactive and creative individual with a clear vision for student-centred, inquiry-based learning.
Passionate about fostering students' interest in science, mathematics, and technology, and ambitious for their academic achievements.
