Job description

Wombourne High School is recruiting for Two School Cleaners.

To start as soon as possible

Permanent, Part time (12.5 hours per week)

Term time plus 4 (43 weeks per year)

Grade 1, SCP 2 FTE £22,366 pay award pending

Actual Annual Salary £7,191.48 - £7,354.21 pay award pending

Cleaners are responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties and responsibilities, which include ensuring that the school is cleaned every day to the required standard/specification.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working safely using correct warning signs, protective clothing, and safety equipment.
  • Being mindful of hazards to other staff and students.
  • Compliance with the Health and Safety practices of the Trust/School.

You will need to be:

  • Physically fit
  • Reliable, punctual, and have excellent attendance
  • Flexible and adaptable in working patterns and job tasks
  • Observant of safe working practices in carrying out the required duties
  • A team player, personable, emotionally intelligent with a sense of humour

Experience:

Previous experience of working in a school or education setting would be desirable but not essential.
