Overview

The Consultancy Group are currently supporting a global Media organisation to build out its IT function following the carve-out and separation from the parent company. As part of their Transformation journey, we looking for an Interim SAP Architect to lead the development and execution of SAP solutions for projects

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of existing and new architectural frameworks, researching solutions, setting long-term trajectories, and guaranteeing engineering platforms meet reliability expectations, thus enhancing client contentment.
• Architect comprehensive system and solution structures, orchestrate system integration and implementation strategies, culminating in unified solutions that cater to customer prerequisites.
• Convey the strategic vision and approach of solutions during meetings and presentations to pertinent stakeholders, securing the endorsement of the program’s technical and operational dimensions.
• Generate solution blueprints, system documentation, testing assessments, test blueprints, and risk evaluations to establish a robust architecture aligning with client needs.
• Act as a proficient authority in SAP architectures, bridging gaps and discrepancies in the solution.
• Ensure the functional segment of the solution harmonizes with client business objectives and prevailing/future benchmarks.
• Identify extant and potential challenges and design intricacies in the broader system and solution architecture; implementing remedies to ensure adherence to elevated standards and procedures.
• Research technological advancements to consistently enhance, sustain, and align solutions with industry and corporate standards.
• Offer guidance and work direction to less experienced team members.
• Primary role focuses on cultivating and preserving architectural assets in SAP for global Finance, adopting a worldwide perspective.
• Accountable for educating key users on system functionality, aiding users in conducting usability trials before launch, and delivering post-launch production support, system setup, and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Global SAP design and architecture guidelines while participating in architecture review panels as required

Qualifications:

• Accumulated 15+ years of experience in Information Technology, engaged in crafting and designing solutions across diverse client domains, specializing in SAP ECC/SAP S4HANA within the Finance and Procurement sector.
• In-depth proficiency with the SAP portfolio, particularly SAP-ECC, focusing on SAP FICO and all relevant modules such as AP, AR, GL, Forecasting, Banking, Financial closure, Consolidation, and Statutory & Management reporting.
• Collaborating closely with Solution and Enterprise Architects to blueprint solutions, demonstrating profound comprehension of architectural methodologies like TOGAF, among others.
• Ownership of Architectural artefacts, presenting solutions to the Architecture board and ensuring seamless project execution.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large-scale SAP transformation endeavours.
• Proficiency in elucidating the interplay between business needs and suggested system architecture to business executives and stakeholders.
• Experience in business analysis, facilitating design workshops to collect requirements, and subsequently translating them into design frameworks.
• Exhibiting a robust grasp of holistic architecture, integration, processes, and a focused approach to user experience, coupled with an extensive understanding of digital trends in Finance (e.g., Industry 4.0, Cross-Industry, Digital Solutions in conjunction with SAP).
• Demonstrating the ability to contribute individually while possessing strong advisory skills.
• Track record of delivering high-quality project outcomes.
• Experience in designing and implementing Charts of Accounts and enterprise structures to fulfil transactional and reporting mandates.
• Competence in integrating and leading SAP-driven business solutions using relevant integration platforms.
