About Our Client
We are seeking an Sales & Business Development Director to lead and expand a chemical manufacturing business across the EMEA and APAC regions, focusing on key industrial sectors such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biopharma, coatings, and personal care.
Job Description
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share across the EMEA and APAC regions, with a focus on industrial markets including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biopharma, and related sectors.
Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing team of sales and business development professionals.
Manage key customer accounts and establish long-term partnerships to meet and exceed sales targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Technology, Operations, and Supply Chain, to ensure the successful execution of market strategies.
Apply value-based selling techniques to maintain competitive advantage, ensuring pricing strategies align with customer needs and market conditions.
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in emerging industrial markets, developing strong relationships with industry stakeholders.
Oversee the use of CRM systems and opportunity pipeline management to ensure accurate sales forecasting and reporting.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, industrial engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
15+ years of experience in sales and business development, with significant expertise in industrial markets such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biopharma, and coatings.
Proven leadership in managing global sales teams, with a successful track record of revenue growth and business development.
Strong skills in strategic account management, negotiation, and contract management.
Experience working within cross-functional teams to drive commercial success across global industrial markets.
Ability to manage complex sales cycles and deliver high-value solutions in fast-paced environments.
Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing industrial sales strategies across diverse markets.
Experience leading global, cross-functional teams in managing key industrial accounts.
Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
A results-driven, customer-focused approach, with the ability to motivate teams to achieve commercial goals.
