Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing QA roles is essential.
  • Knowledge of BRC regulations and food safety is crucial.
  • Certifications in Food Safety and HACCP are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product and packaging meet quality standards.
  • Conduct compliance checks on finished products and raw materials.
  • Test gas, pH, weight, labels, and sensory properties.
  • Assist with corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Perform allergen, CCP, and compliance assessments.
  • Conduct environmental testing and temperature monitoring.
  • Support production in adhering to safety procedures.

Skills

Are you passionate about food quality and safety? Do you have an eye for detail and a drive for excellence? We are looking for a QA Technician to join our dedicated team and help ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Join our team as a QA Technician on a 12-month fixed-term contract

Location: Ebbw Vale, Rassau Industrial Estate, NP23 5SD
Working Hours: 05:00 – 17:00 or 06:00 – 18:00 4on 4off

Pay: £28,813 per year

Reporting To: QA Manager

Your Role

As a QA Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving high-quality product and packaging standards
  • Conducting compliance checks on finished products raw materials, and packaging
  • Performing gas, pH, weight, label, and sensory testing
  • Assisting with corrective actions following non-conformances
  • Conducting allergen, CCP, and production compliance checks
  • Performing environmental swabbing, water testing, and temperature monitoring
  • Supporting production teams to ensure adherence to food safety and quality procedures
  • Attending and contributing to daily, weekly, and monthly meetings
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role within food manufacturing
  • Good understanding of BRC regulations, HACCP, and food safety legislation
  • Qualifications: Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene, Level 1/2 HACCP (preferred but not essential)
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and flexible attitude
