An archaeological trust in Wales seeks an experienced Project Officer to manage fieldwork and supervise teams in South Wales. The ideal candidate will have a degree in archaeology, commercial experience, and strong project management skills. Responsibilities include overseeing archaeological projects, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols, and engaging with local communities. We are looking for an experienced Project Officer to join our growing Field Services Team inSouth Wales. This role will work closely with our management team, to supervise and coordinate our fieldwork across the south of Wales.

RoleSummary
The Project Officer will support the delivery ofHeneb’sarchaeological services in South Wales and will report to our Senior Manager (South Wales). The post holder will have responsibility for small to medium sized projects, at times supervising a team of archaeologists, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high professional standard. This role is suited to an experienced archaeologist with occasional responsibility for managing projects, while continuing to contribute directly to fieldwork and reporting.
