Production Operative (Extrusion Earlies)

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and motivated Production Operative (Extrusion Earlies) to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, and report any potentially dangerous issues or faults to the Direct Team Leader or Production Manager.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Produce high‑quality products in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, while adhering to the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude toward training and personal development.
  • Monitor the performance of the process to ensure maximum output at all times.
  • Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job and complete all production paperwork.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.
  • Adhere to correct procedures, safe working practices, and 5S principles.
  • Report any major maintenance issues immediately and ensure the department’s machines are kept in good working condition.
  • Perform the necessary safety checks and maintain compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and relevant regulations.
  • Ensure all PPE is worn where applicable.
  • Extrude PTFE and/or other materials as required.
  • Handle heavy manual tasks safely and responsibly.
Skills / Experience
  • Good level of numeracy and general education.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Manufacturing background and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic, keen eye for detail, and proven ability to achieve results.
  • Positive working attitude and ability to work well as part of a team and communicate with other workers.
