Job summary

A community support organization is seeking a part-time support worker in Bristol to assist young people in independence and community activities. Applicants should have experience working with young individuals with disabilities and possess strong communication skills. The role offers up to 6 hours per week at £12.60 per hour, with additional benefits for those providing references and holding an enhanced DBS check.

Job description

Support with accessing the community and increasing independence. Eg eating out, taking to and taking part in fun activities/sports of the young person’s choice, going to the cinema.

• Able to act in an understanding, patient, trustworthy, calm and non-judgemental manner
• Have a confident, fun, enthusiastic and outgoing personality
• Experience of working with young people with learning disabilities/neurodivergence
• Able to support young person with maintaining expectations and communication boundaries
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to use them when required

Up to 6 hours a week

Hourly Rate

Employed £12.60 ph; self-employed by arrangement
