A regional nonprofit organization in the South West of the UK is seeking a freelance Network Coordinator to manage memberships and coordinate events. This role offers flexible hours, home working, and the chance to support an impactful team dedicated to global justice initiatives. Suitable candidates should be detail-oriented and experience in membership or event management is preferred. The role is home-based, focusing on the South West regions including Bristol, Devon, and Cornwall, with a pay rate of £16 per hour.
Do you find satisfaction in colour‑coded calendars and neatly filed folders? Are you a task‑oriented, detail‑oriented person motivated by achieving tangible results? If spreadsheets spark joy for you and you see the beauty in the detail, we’d love to hear from you.
SWIDN are looking for a reliable, task‑oriented freelance Network Coordinator to deliver the everyday tasks involved in supporting our membership. In return, we are able to offer flexible working hours to suit your wider commitments, the opportunity to play a vital role in a friendly regional team operating with feminist values, and the possibility to shape the role to include your interests and areas of focus.
SWIDN is the membership network bringing together people and organisations from the South West who are working to tackle global injustice. Founded in 2005, SWIDN has around 110 members and a wider community of 5,000 people in the UK’s South West and beyond.
We are committed to ensuring diversity and gender equality within our organisation and encourage applications from people identifying as from the Global Majority, from diaspora communities, from LGBTQI+ communities, people living with disabilities, and people from diverse socioeconomic and education backgrounds.
SWIDN is a friendly and informal team. We work flexibly across our whole team capacity. We don’t require applicants with a specific formal education level. We are able to provide training and support for any of the responsibilities and tasks if needed. SWIDN’s culture values flexibility, innovation and creativity. This works because we are a self‑motivated team that works with accountability and values collaboration and connection. If you’d like an informal chat about the role before applying, please email Hannah via hannah@swidn.org.uk.
To apply, please send a 1‑page cover letter telling us about yourself and your experience, without the use of AI. Please send this, together with a 2‑page C.V., to Hannah via hannah@swidn.org.uk before 15 December 2025.
We will respond to all applications we receive in this format.
We are a micro, place‑based charity and are not able to respond to applications that are longer, or from individuals based outside the UK’s South West.
SWIDN membership is open to any person or organisation who states they are working internationally towards the SDGs.
